Hi

The most obvious place is our Foundation, separate from the Financial Aid Office, at www.bergen.edu/foundation. Click onthe "scholarships" on the left menu. Another, less obvious place, is password-protected at CollegeFish.org. This data base is meant to serve PTK members, but there are many scholarships that are available to all students. I believe we'll have a workshop on this in the spring, co-sponsored by the Honors Association and PTK. MM :=

CollegeFish.org

CollegeFish is a PTK resource to learn about transfer schools and scholarships for which you can apply, based on your own situation. You will need your Phi Theta Kappa member ID number in order to access the resources found on the site.

BCC Foundation Scholarships

"The Bergen Community College Foundation is a separately incorporated foundation whose mission is to raise funds to support student scholarships, faculty and staff development, construction, and other special projects and programs"( BCCFoundation Page ) http://www.bergen.edu/pages/1818.asp

The Foundation offers scholarships to all BCC students. There are also scholarships available to graduating students. The deadline for all Foundation scholarships is 12/21/09 and the application can be downloaded from the BCC Foundation page . The completed application packet is to be delivered to Kathy Jennings in Room A126 or to the Financial Aid office in L123 no later than December 21, 2009.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation offers substantial transfer scholarships. You must apply online by January 20, but you've got to be nominated by the advisors. http://www.jkcf.org/scholarships/undergraduate-transfer-scholarship... If you plan to apply, to be considered for nomination by the advisors you MUST meet with HP Directors before Thursday December 17. Bring a copy of your online application and a copy of any essay you have written for it or any other scholarship, or write a paragraph as to why you deserve this scholarship.

For transfer to Rutgers University, see scholarship opportunities at http://admissions.rutgers.edu/costs/scholarships/transferscholarshi...

Good luck! :=
